Mission:

AMS Youth Committee strives to make positive difference in lives of youth by developing their potential in leadership, personal growth and success with the guidance of Islam

Goals:

• -Develop Islamic educational programs to empower educational enrichment and the understanding of Islam
• -Engage youth in Islamic cultural tradition to understand the Islamic heritage
• -Empower youth for positive behavior
• -Develop recreational activities to promote youth socialization and health

2010 Plan for AMS Youth Committee

• -Develop Islamic educational programs to empower educational enrichment and the understanding of Islam by:
  • -WorkShop with Imam Mikail on the Understanding of Islam
  • -WorkShop on What’s Your Rights
  • -WorkShop on Higher Education
• -Engage youth in Islamic cultural tradition to understand the Islamic heritage by:
  • -Field Trip to another Islamic institution & Pizza meal
  • -Work Shop – Movie & Popcorn with Siam Ramadan
  • -Group Fasting & Iftar
  • -Eid Celebrations, Eid Carnival and Toys for Kids
• -Empower youth for positive behavior by:
  • -English Lecture on How to Choose Your Friends
  • -AMS Service Day (Cleaning Activity)
  • -Nadwa for Youth
• -Develop recreational activities to promote youth socialization and health by:
  • -Soccer and Basket ball tournaments
  • -BBQ Picnic
  • -Movie Night & Popcorn with the Prophet Mohamed SAWS
  • -Field Trip (Civic Center)
  • -Graduation Ceremony
