 AMS Provided Services

The American Moslem Society provides the following services:  

    Islamic Marriage Contracts

1. Bring Marriage License from the City of Detroit, you need to take the following:

a.       Birth Certificates

b.      IDs

2. If any of the applicants’ age is less then 18 years, one of the parents needs to be present

3. Bring all the required documents and come to the Imam of the Masjid to issue the Islamic contract

   Funeral Services 

1. Call the Mosque at 313-849-4416 to pay for the grave’s fee ($650)
2. Call the Funeral Home to arrange and pay for the service provided by the funeral company
3. Call the Woodmere Cemetery at 313-841-0188 to pay fees related to service provide by the Cemetery

   Other Services

1. Letters to Passport Agency , and Immigration and Materialization Services  to allow Muslim women to provide photos for passports and naturalization with Hijab
2. Letters regarding Sports & Swimming to schools
3. Excuse to attend Eid & Friday prayers
4. Excuse because of relatives’ burial
5. Letters regarding growing beards
6. Advises in resolving families’ problems
